Punching on a Time Clock

When a user has a policy that allows Time Clock punching and a punch method such as a fingerprint, PIN, or RFID Badge, they can use the Time Clock to punch in or out. They are also able to transfer between departments if the Punch Management Policy allows department transfers. To punch for rest or meal breaks, they will need a Break Policy assigned.

Use Quick Punching to punch:

1. Authenticate at the time clock:
   1. PIN
   2. Badge
   3. Fingerprint
2. Tap (one of) the suggested punch option(s). Your option(s) are based on your most recent punch.
3. Press Sign Out to clear the confirmation screen.

Punch in or out:

1. Authenticate at the time clock:
   • Tap the screen and enter your PIN.
   • Scan your Badge.
   • Scan your fingerprint.
2. Select All to view all punch options.
3. Tap Punch In or Punch Out.
4. Press Sign Out to clear the confirmation screen.

Start or end a meal/lunch break:

If the user does not have a Break Policy with a Meal Rule, they will not see the Lunch punch option.

1. Authenticate at the time clock:
   • Tap the screen and enter your PIN.
   • Scan your Badge.
   • Scan your fingerprint.
2. Select All to view all punch options.
3. Tap Start Meal or End Meal.
4. Press Sign Out to clear the confirmation screen.

Start or end a rest break:

If the user does not have a Break Policy with a Rest Rule, they will not see the Break punch option.

1. Authenticate at the time clock:
   • Tap the screen and enter your PIN.
   • Scan your Badge.
   • Scan your fingerprint.
2. Select All to view all punch options.
3. Tap Start Rest or End Rest.
4. Press Sign Out to clear the confirmation screen.

Transfer departments:

If the user does not have a Punch Management Policy with Department Transfers enabled, they will not see the Department Transfer option.

1. Authenticate at the time clock:
   • Tap the screen and enter your PIN.
   • Scan your Badge.
   • Scan your fingerprint.
2. Tap the Department Transfer option.
   • You can also select All to view all punch options and select Department Transfer.
3. Select the department name from the list and tap Transfer.
4. Press Sign Out to clear the confirmation screen.
