Connecting to Your Network

Whether you are connecting to your internet network for the first time or connecting to a new network, this article will walk you through the various ways to connect your time clock to your internet network.

To access the User Management Menu and/or the Time Clock Management Menu on the time clock as a supervisor or employee, the Role will need the corresponding time clock permissions set to Add/Update. 

Connect your time clock to WIFI:

1. Authenticate at the time clock or enter the Admin passcode.
   • Tap the screen and enter your PIN.
   • Scan your Badge.
   • Scan your fingerprint.
2. Select Dashboard.
3. Tap Time Clock Management.
4. Select Network Settings.
5. Tap WI-FI and select your network from the list.
6. Enter the Password and click Join.
7. You will receive a success notification and will see a green line next to the wifi symbol in the upper left corner once you are connected.

Connect your time clock via Ethernet:

1. Connect your time clock to your network router with an ethernet cable.
2. Authenticate at the time clock or enter the Admin passcode.
   • Tap the screen and enter your PIN.
   • Scan your Badge.
   • Scan your fingerprint.
3. Select Dashboard.
4. Tap Time Clock Management.
5. Select Network Settings.
6. Tap Ethernet.
7. If the time clock has not been connected to your ethernet cable, the clock will display instructions to plug in your ethernet cable in the ethernet port located in the back of your time clock.
8. Once the ethernet connection is established, you will see a success notification and a green line next to the LAN symbol in the upper left corner.

Connect your time clock to a hidden network:

1. Authenticate at the time clock or enter the Admin passcode.
   • Tap the screen and enter your PIN.
   • Scan your Badge.
   • Scan your fingerprint.
2. Select Dashboard.
3. Tap Time Clock Management.
4. Select Network Settings.
5. Tap WI-FI.
6. Enter the SSID. 
7. Select the Security option. 
8. Enter the network Password and click Join.
9. You will receive a success notification and will see a green line next to the WIFI symbol in the upper left corner once you are connected.

Set up a Static IP on your time clock:

1. Connect the time clock to your network with an ethernet cable. 
2. Authenticate at the time clock or enter the Admin passcode.
   • Tap the screen and enter your PIN.
   • Scan your Badge.
   • Scan your fingerprint.
3. Select Dashboard.
4. Tap Time Clock Management.
5. Select Network Settings.
6. Tap Ethernet.
7. If the time clock has not been connected to your ethernet cable, the clock will display instructions to plug in your ethernet cable in the ethernet port located in the back of your time clock.
8. Select Advanced.
9. In the IP address field, enter the IP address you want to assign to the time clock.
10. In the Subnet mask field, enter the subnet mask for your network.
11. In the Default gateway field, enter the IP address of your network's default gateway.
12. In the Preferred DNS server and Alternate DNS server fields, enter the IP addresses of your network's DNS servers.
