This article will walk you through setting up a user for punching on a time clock from start to finish. Users will need a punch management policy with time clock punching enabled and an authentication method for the time clock: PIN, RFID Badge, or Fingerprint Template.
To complete the steps in this article, you must be an administrator or have the necessary view and/or edit permissions enabled. If you believe you should be able to complete the steps and are not able to, reach out to your account administrator to discuss updating the settings for your Role.
Set up a user for punching on a time clock:
- Set up a Punch Management Policy with time clock punching enabled.
- Add the administrator, supervisor, or employee to the account.
- Add the Punch Management Policy to the user's profile.
- Set an authentication method for the user: PIN, RFID Badge, or Fingerprint Template.
