This article will walk you through setting up a user for punching on the smartphone app from start to finish. Users will access the smartphone app using your Company Site and their authentication PIN.
To complete the steps in this article, you must be an administrator or have the necessary view and/or edit permissions enabled. If you believe you should be able to complete the steps and are not able to, reach out to your account administrator to discuss updating the settings for your Role.
Set up a user for punching in the smartphone app:
- Set up a Punch Management Policy with smartphone punching enabled.
- Enable offline punches or add geolocation restrictions as needed.
- Add the administrator, supervisor, or employee to the account.
- Set an authentication PIN for the user.
- Add the Punch Management Policy to the user's profile.
- Have the user download the smartphone app.
