This article will assist you in opening the Citadel app if the GT2000 Citadel time clock boots into the Android OS after a restart noted by the yellow and black background.
Reset app preferences on the GT2000 time clock:
- From the Android home screen, tap the menu icon.
- Tap the Settings icon.
- Tap Apps.
- Tap the ellipses in the upper right corner.
- Select Reset app preferences.
- Tap Reset Apps to confirm.
- Tap the back arrow.
- Tap Home.
- Select Empire from the list of options.
- Power cycle the time clock.
Open the Citadel Empire app on the GT2000 time clock:
If the device opens to the Android screen, you can open the Citadel Empire app directly from the app menu.
- From the Android home screen, tap the menu icon.
- Tap the Empire icon.
Download the Citadel Empire app to the GT2000 time clock:
If the Citadel Empire app is not on the device, you will need to download the app to the time clock.
- Connect your time clock to your network router with an ethernet cable.
- From the Android home screen, tap the menu icon.
- Tap the ES File Explorer app.
- Tap the Menu icon (the three bars) on the left navigation menu.
- Expand the Tools section and tap Download Manager.
- Tap the +New button on the right.
- In the Path field, enter the file link below. Please note it is case-sensitive.
- In the Name field, add a file name such as "Citadel version 1.03.XX".
- Tap Download Now.
- Once the download is complete, select Open File.
- Select Install.
- Once the installation is complete, select Open.
