If you need to bring someone back after they’ve been archived, you can unarchive (reactivate) them at any time. Unarchiving restores access to Citadel so the person can start punching again, and billing updates immediately once access is enabled. Unarchiving is commonly used for seasonal employees or returning workers.
What to Know Before Unarchiving Someone
When you unarchive a person in Citadel:
- Any previously assigned policies immediately become active.
- If the person has a Punch Management policy that allows time clock, smartphone app, or web punching, the person will count toward your price plan ($3 per person, per month).
- All biometric templates associated with archived employees are deleted within 30 days.
- If the person uses biometrics for punching, they will need to be registered again on the time clock to punch using biometrics.
If you have seasonal personnel, you can archive and unarchive as needed.
Who Can Unarchive People?
To complete the steps in this article, you must be an administrator or have the necessary view and/or edit permissions enabled. If you believe you should be able to complete the steps and are not able to, reach out to your account administrator to discuss updating the settings for your Role.
Important Account Management Notes
It is the sole responsibility of the account administrator to manage all aspect of the account. The Workwell team will not make changes to your account, such as archiving people/devices and modifying the price plan or any other settings. After archiving and unarchiving users, be sure to check your price plan and adjust accordingly.
To unarchive a person:
- Log into your Citadel web portal.
- Click People in the side menu.
- Click the Status filter at the top of the page.
- Select Archived, Temporarily Inactive, or All.
- Click on the person's profile.
- Click the Status field and select Active.
- Click Save.
After unarchiving the person's profile, any previously assigned Policies will be enforced. Review the policies assigned to their profile and update as needed.
