Your monthly subscription cost is based on your number of active users and time clocks on your Citadel account. Any changes made to your active user count or time clocks are applied on your next billing date. This article explains how Citadel pricing works and how your subscription automatically adjusts when you add users or time clocks.
Predictable Pricing Plan
Citadel uses simple, per‑user pricing with automatic adjustments.
- $3 per user per month.
- A user is any individual with access to the Citadel time clocks, cloud portal, or mobile app. This includes Employees, Supervisors, and Administrators.
Time Clock Pricing
- All monthly cloud subscription plans include two active time clocks
- $10 per month is added for each additional active time clock over two
Automatic Plan Adjustments
You do not need to manually change your plan.

A Note on Administrators
Administrators are billed as users unless they are configured as No‑Punch users. To avoid being charged for administrators who do not punch time, you must apply a "No‑Punch" policy:

Where to Review Your Pricing
You can review your current monthly subscription costs in the Settings section of your Citadel web portal when logged in as an administrator.
- Log into your Citadel cloud portal.
- Click on your profile avatar in the upper right corner of the window.
- Select Settings.
- Under Account Info, view your Active Users count and Active Time Clocks count.
To make changes to your pricing:
- Archive users who should not be active. If your Active Users count is still higher than it should be, check the Punch Management policies assigned to your users. Any user with at least one form of punching enabled will count toward your Active Users count.
- Remove unused time clocks and device IDs.
Any changes made will apply to your next billing cycle.
Important Billing Details
- Your fees are charged automatically monthly to your preferred payment form. If you prefer to pay annually, contact our team through the chat feature in your cloud portal to set this up.
- It is the sole responsibility of the account administrator to manage all aspect of the account. The Workwell team will not make changes to your account, such as modifying the price plan, removing unused devices, or any other settings.
- Citadel does not require an annual contract or commitment. You can cancel your membership at any time.
- Refunds are not granted for unused features, devices, users, or services. For more information, refer to the End User License Agreement.
